Selected from over 31,000 entrepreneurs across Africa, Uzapoint emerged as the 1st Runner-Up in the prestigious Africa Business Heroes competition, earning US$250,000 in grant funding.
Organized by the Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Philanthropy, ABH recognizes entrepreneurs building innovative businesses that create lasting economic and social impact.
This recognition validated our mission of empowering African SMEs through technology and provides additional resources to accelerate product innovation, market expansion, and business growth across the continent.

Google for Startups Accelerator
Uzapoint was selected among Africa's Top 25 Black-led startups to receive funding up to $150,000 and strategic support through the Google for Startups Black Founders Fund.
Beyond non-dilutive funding, the programme provided access to Google Cloud credits, technical expertise, mentorship, and a global network of founders and industry leaders.
The partnership has strengthened our technology infrastructure, accelerated product development, and enhanced our ability to deliver secure, AI-powered business solutions for SMEs across Africa.

TotalEnergies Startupper Challenge
Uzapoint was recognized as the 2nd Runner-Up in the 2019 TotalEnergies Startupper Challenge, a pan-African entrepreneurship competition spanning 32 African countries that identifies and supports innovative startups creating meaningful impact within their communities.
As part of this achievement, Uzapoint was awarded KES 1,000,000, together with mentorship, business development support, and exposure to a continent-wide network of entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
This recognition marked one of the earliest validations of our vision and provided the momentum to transform Uzapoint from an ambitious startup into one of Africa's leading SME technology platforms, advancing our mission to build the operating system for SMEs in Africa.
